Roland Special Cold Dish

Come the month of May, many diners are thinking where to bring their mothers to celebrate Mother’s Day. Wine Lovers take this opportunity to wish all Mothers and Mothers-to-be a fantastic Mother’s Day! A suggestion from us will be to enjoy with Joostenberg’s Noble Late Harvest 2008. This is a sweet white wine from a wine estate in Paarl/Western Cape. Cellarmaster Tyrrel Myburgh said, “from a 20 year old vineyard, consistently fabulous, the Chenin Blanc Noble Late Harvest elegantly captures the usual Jasmine, lime Marmalade scents.” Platter’s Guide of 2011 has rated it a 4.5 star! Not bad for a sweet wine! This is our favorite as well from Wine Lovers’ cellar. Also we are bringing this on limited stock.

We can guarantee you that you will fully enjoy this Noble Late Harvest sweet wine with the fabulous Roland’s Cold Platter Dish (see picture) from Roland Restaurant at Marine Parade Central, Multi-storey carpark, top floor.

Another of our favorite white wine is the Joostenberg’s Fairhead. This is made from  Chenin Blanc and Viognier grapes. The Chenin Blanc gives the wine a citrus and green apple flavor, while the Viognier gives the fresh greenish straw color and lemon-lime, white peach aroma.

When you are at the Roland Restaurant and order your wines, remember to say you get the recommendations from Wine Lovers website!

Day 1… the air-conditioning renders the sizzling atmosphere a ‘cool place’ to be  in Singapore.

11am. The buyers and traders from all over Asia stream in and almost all of them linger at our Singapore/South African stand. Our wines flow. The chilled 2009 Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc (2009 at S$48 and Joostenberg Fairhead at S$48 are an instant talking point among the refined connoisseurs and wine loving public). Our wooded Chardonnay (Isabella from estate Muratie) is favourably compared with the very finest the ‘old world’ has to offer.
